Summer 2017 Youth Trip

It’s time to register!

Here’s what YOU need to know:

Who:

Any youth currently in 6-12th grades are welcome to join us. Friends you ask? Well of course! We’d love to have you join us for the week.

When:

August 7th-10th, 2017   We’ll leave Cross Lutheran on Monday morning, August 7th. We’ll return the evening of August 10th.

Cost:

Actual trip cost is $200+ but YOUR cost will be:

Cross Lutheran Members:$125

Friends of Cross: $150

DOWNPAYMENT OF $50.00 DUE along with REGISTRATION FORM

If you are interested and cost is a difficulty for you – PLEASE talk with Pastor Amy Oslund. Needs are kept confidential and we have scholarship funds available.

What and Where:

Summer youth trip involving both service work and learning about rural life. We go to Shalom Hill Farm to stay for a week. We learn how farmers live, experience working on a farm, learn about wind energy and wind turbines, see how food goes from farm to farmers market, compare farming local to large scale farming and more! We stay in this retreat setting each night and during the day drive to other locations for our learning and sometimes eating. Feel free to learn more about the place at: http://shalomhillfarm.org/

Preparation for the trip begins in May with one meeting a month through July. We ask that you plan to attend all 3 of the meetings.
